Overview

Acceptance and commitment therapy, (ACT) is an exciting and powerful approach for understanding and working with human behaviour. It is used as a therapy to help people with their particular stock, but also much more widely used in areas such as assisting with human performance, helping in relationships, improving physical health and overall increasing well-being and resilience. In addition to being very versatile, it’s upon a solid foundation of theory and research, both of which increase its stability. The model is incredibly practical and helps equip people with the tools and strategies they need to make the changes they wanted in life. In addition to its therapeutic efficacy, the ACT model also holds a profound and heartfelt quality. It encourages individuals to contemplate the purpose and meaning of life and individuals are prompted to delve into questions surrounding their values and are empowered to take tangible steps towards expressing and embodying these values in their daily lives.
